Hi pretty pixels! Welcome to a spOoky edition of Pixel by Pixel hosted by cookie and perhapz! This is a weekly article contest where you get to create a form of pixel art according to the weekly theme. This is the place for all gfx, badges, room ads, custom avatar art, custom furni, and anything pixel art related, where you can showcase your creativity! Original work only. We will be checking every artwork as they are submitted. If plagiarism is found you will be banned from entering the competition. Badges, custom furni, room ads, custom avatars, banners, gfx, and anything pixel art related are all permitted forms of art that you can submit. No direct recolors of existing furni. If you plan on recoloring, at least customize the design of the furni. Poor quality images will not be judged. You must submit your piece through an imgur or tumblr link. Please note more rules may be added in the future! As a special prize for the month of October, If your entry is a badge, whatever position you place, it'll be uploaded to the hotel for a Halloween event for all users! Additionally, we will be giving a special exclusive badge to our first place winners for the month of October: A special Pixel by Pixel Showcase room located in the staff picks section of the navigator will showcase the winning pixel art! Winning pixel art will stay on display for 3 weeks, along with other winners! Make sure to stop on by and invite your friends to admire the artwork! 1st - 30,000 credits, 300 diamonds 2nd - 20,000 credits, 250 diamonds 3rd - 10,000 credits, 200 diamonds Along with the prizes above, winners will get to choose which badge they get from the badges below! To keep things fair, we will be grading everyone’s artwork based on a rubric we’ve made! There are 5 categories you can earn up to 5 points in for a total of 25 points. The person with the highest score every week is the winner! We will be linking 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place’s rubrics every week so that winners have a chance at looking at the constructive criticism left and to see what they scored in each category. For the month of October we will be having exciting themes that are gfx specific. What we mean by this is that we might just ask specifically for banners one week, or badges, or avatars! When a theme is gfx specific we will state it here. The last theme for Pixel by Pixel’s spoOky October month is… This week we are asking for custom avatar art. Dress up your avatar in your best Halloween costume drawing and submit your artwork! There is a very important rule for this theme: You can include existing clothing, HOWEVER you MUST include at least one custom clothing in your submission. If there is nothing custom about your costume, we will not judge it! Thanks. All entries must be submitted by NOVEMBER 2ND, 11:59 A.M CST.
