Hi! This is cookie! Before I continue with our regularly scheduled article, I would like to take a moment to announce elle’s departure from Pixel by Pixel. 

 

Elle has been the best co-host ever. If you know her, you know how sweet, understanding, and hardworking she is! I remember when we were first paired together. She was a new MOD, and, since I am really shy, I was hesitant about starting this article with someone I hardly knew. However, she was probably the best partner I could have asked for on this PXP journey. Our main goal with starting this article was to provide fun competitions to feature users’ creations on the hotel and to just create an article that was different and fun for all users to enjoy regardless of their experience with art. I am so happy we got to do the Habboon Fashion Design competition and Furni Design Competition together, as those were things Habboon hadn’t done before. 

 

I am so sad to see her go, but she will always be a part of Pixel by Pixel regardless if she is featured in this article or not!

 

If you have the chance, please thank her for her time as a MOD and a PXP host! She deserves all the recognition!

Now, for some happier news!

Pixel by Pixel will now be hosted by cookie and lily! 

Lily was one of my cohosts on the Boon Adventures article for almost two years and she is the perfect addition to PXP! I am so excited to continue this article with her and can’t wait for all the fun stuff we will host together.

Fun fact: Lily came up with the name Pixel by Pixel!

This is a weekly article contest where you get to create a form of pixel art according to the weekly theme. This is the place for all gfx, badges, room ads, custom avatar art, custom furni, and anything pixel art related, where you can showcase your creativity!

That’s right! We will be hosting a Furni Design Competition with the 1st place winner’s furni being uploaded onto the hotel! Don’t squander this opportunity! This is your ONE shot to get your own custom work uploaded to the hotel!

 

We have decided to extend the submission deadline by one week to ensure everyone who wants to submit gets a chance to!

PLEASE READ THE GUIDELINES UNDERNEATH THE MONTH LONG PLAN!

Now, how will this be one month long you ask?

This competition will be slightly different from our fashion design competition, so read below!

Pixel by Pixel #62-64: We will be accepting submissions for the next 2 weeks (Next week’s post will be a reminder that you have one week left to submit!)

Pixel by Pixel #65: cookie and lily will narrow down the top 5 submissions and post the top 10! Users will be able to vote for their top 5 favorite custom furni!

Pixel by Pixel #66: Users will be able to vote which of the top 3 they would like to see the most in the hotel, however, cookie and lily will have the final decision as to who is 1st, 2nd and 3rd. We will strongly be taking into consideration people’s votes though! This is an event for you, so we want to give you what you want!

Pixel by Pixel #67: Winner is announced! 

 

1. This furni competition has a theme: SPRING! Your furni can be ANYTHING as long as it is related to the SPRING theme!

2. Original work only. We will be checking every artwork as they are submitted. If plagiarism is found you will be banned from entering the competition and banned from entering any future Pixel by Pixel articles/events.

3. Create one piece of furni. It can be ANYTHING!

4. Poor quality images will not be judged.

5. Your design needs to be in scale to Habboon. Reference other furniture for size. Submissions that are not in scale will not be accepted.

6. You must submit your piece through an imgur or tumblr link.

7. Only one entry per person, so please don’t use any alts or we will have to disqualify both the alt and the main avatar.

Since this is a BIG competition, we will be giving BIG prizes! These prizes will be given to the top 3 submissions of the competition:

submission uploaded to the hotel, Pixel by Pixel Crayon Trophy, 3000 diamonds, 50,000 credits

2000 diamonds, 40,000 credits

1500 diamonds, 30,000 credits

The top 3 submissions will also receive a special badge!

Once a month we will have a badge gfx specific theme. The first place winner’s badge will be the badge given out as a prize at these events! We can’t wait to see you all soon!
