Welcome to a pink christmas edition of Pixel by Pixel hosted by cookie and perhapz!

This is a weekly article contest where you get to create a form of pixel art according to the weekly theme. This is the place for all gfx, badges, room ads, custom avatar art, custom furni, and anything pixel art related, where you can showcase your creativity!

1. Original work only. We will be checking every artwork as they are submitted. If plagiarism is found you will be banned from entering the competition.

2. Badges, custom furni, room ads, custom avatars, banners, gfx, and anything pixel art related are all permitted forms of art that you can submit.

3. No direct recolors of existing furni. If you plan on recoloring, at least customize the design of the furni. 

4. Poor quality images will not be judged.

5. You must submit your piece through an imgur or tumblr link.

Please note more rules may be added in the future!

A special Pixel by Pixel Showcase room located in the staff picks section of the navigator will showcase the winning pixel art! Winning pixel art will stay on display for 3 weeks, along with other winners!  Make sure to stop on by and invite your friends to admire the artwork!

1st - 50,000 credits, 500 diamonds & 350 snowflakes

2nd - 40,000 credits, 400 diamonds & 300 snowflakes

3rd - 30,000 credits, 300 diamonds & 250 snowflakes

 Along with the prizes above, winners will get to choose which badge they get from the badges below! 

On a special note: For the month of December, first place winners will get to choose between two exclusive Pixel by Pixel Pink Christmas badges designed by cookie!

To keep things fair, we will be grading everyone’s artwork based on a rubric we’ve made! There are 5 categories you can earn up to 5 points in for a total of 25 points. The person with the highest score every week is the winner! 

We will be linking 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place’s rubrics every week so that winners have a chance at looking at the constructive criticism left and to see what they scored in each category.

Occasionally on Pixel by Pixel there will be themes that are gfx specific. What we mean by this is that we might just ask specifically for banners one week, or badges, or avatars! When a theme is gfx specific we will state it here.

No Holiday is complete without a greeting card! Gather your loved ones and create a holiday greeting card for us! Your card can have as many people (or as little, or none!) people as you’d like! The possibilities are endless!

Of course, there is an important guideline you must follow!

1. At least one thing from your greeting card must be custom drawn.

All entries must be submitted by DECEMBER 29TH, 11:59 P.M CST.

Results are released shortly after the submissions are closed or as soon as possible.

We have some BIG news!

We are going to be hosting events!

Once (or more) a month, we will be hosting events in our own Pixel by Pixel themed events room. We will, of course, keep you informed of when we will be hosting through our weekly article.

Once a month we will have a badge gfx specific theme. The first place winner’s badge will be the badge given out as a prize at these events! We can’t wait to see you all soon!
