Huge thank you to milk for the graphics & to Exoquate for the badges!

Are you intrigued to find out What’s Happening on Habboon? Well, you’re in the right place - this bi-weekly article will cover all things Habboon and more! Stay tuned to find out more about the hotel, albeit rare rotations or staffing updates!

This is a section where we place a highlight on a segment of the hotel. These can either be individual users who deserve to be recognised for their kindness across the hotel, for being a good friend or an excellent event player.

Feel free to submit a user or community into the spotlight by clicking the link here!

This week, we’re placing a spotlight on the Boon Builders team

The Boon Builders team is an ever growing community of many talented individual users who help to contribute to Boon Adventures each month! The team consists of a range of builders, wirers, graphics artists and badge designers. Led by Kaydee, cookie & linds, the team comprises of 21 other members. Boon Adventures has just celebrated its 3rd anniversary so has been around for quite a while now,, and it’s about time we shed some spotlight on this wonderful community!

We asked a few questions to bow and cookie about what it’s like being a part of this community!

Question 1: What is your favourite thing about working for the Boon Builders team?

bow: My favourite part about working for boon builders will have to be how lovely the team is!! Not many people know this but boon builders have such a wonderful team that is led by linds/thelma, we all support each other through not only our monthly builds/wired/badges/graphics but also anything that we have going on in real life!!

cookie: My favourite part is creating! Boon Builders is my creative outlet outside of work. I work as a pixel artist professionally and then on my off “relax” time, I create pixel art for BB. Haha. I am always creating ? The best part overall is maybe seeing users enjoy our quests and appreciate all of our hard work! I love the team and how well we collaborate.

Question 2: What is the most challenging thing about working for the Boon Builders team?

bow: The most challenging part about working for boon builders can change throughout each month if I’m totally honest with you!! Some months the most challenging part could be trying to complete everything you’ve claimed, other months it could just be trying to think of a game idea or room idea, it kinda just depends on what the theme is for that month !! No matter what though, if you have something that you find challenging honestly all you have to do is ask in the chat and EVERYONE in the team is just amazing and helps out.

cookie: The most challenging part is team management. Part of being a leader is ensuring everyone is doing what they’re supposed to and pulling their weight. Although being a member of the BB team does not pay and we all do this voluntarily, members still apply to join the team. Therefore, they’ve applied to take on the roles and responsibilities of a BB member. If one member is slacking, it impacts the entire team. Generally, If one person slacks, it’s up to the BA leaders or BB staff to complete the room or event the member dropped last minute. Which, in turn, means our release dates become delayed. It’s always challenging when stuff like that pops up. This used to be a big issue a year ago. It’s gotten a lot better this year. To combat this recently, we have new guidelines and deadlines when it comes to certain things. The team seems to be collaborating and flowing much more smoothly now, which I appreciate ?.

It’s time to keep up to date with all things that have happened within the hotel in the past 2 weeks!

Sentimental songs are the soulful melodies that have the remarkable ability to touch the deepest corners of our hearts and evoke a wide range of emotions.

In this segment, we invite you to submit your favourite song and allow us to provide the emotions evoked by the lyrics and melody.

This week’s featured song is ‘This Wild Life’ by Concrete, submitted by user childish. This song is a favourite study track for childish and helps her to stay calm whilst focussing on the task at hand! Read our thoughts on the track down below!

kie: omg i can totally see myself studying to this music/artist. The guitar is just so relaxing, and then their voices are so so soothing. I love music which doesn’t have too much going on with it. It’s so simple yet so effective, and so calming! Might have accidentally listened to the entire album that this song appears on… whoops i guess?

Patrick: It's such a feel good song. The harmonies are blended nicely and fits so well with the acoustic and calm feels to the song. I like it! It's very underrated, listen to it y'all!

You can submit your song choices here - if your song gets selected, you will win 100 diamonds & an exclusive badge!

One user has asked: ‘What do you have in mind for your future?

kie: At present, my future is looking towards becoming a primary school teacher. I’m currently in my 3rd year of training for my undergraduate degree and can’t wait to help contribute towards moulding the lives of young children. Once I’ve been in the teaching career for a few years, I’m looking to branch towards becoming an educational psychologist with further training and therefore would be working closely with teachers, parents and pupils to support them all where possible.

Also, hopefully I’ll be living somewhere with lots of theatres because I love a good musical, and would be delighted to see a wider variety of shows other than the ones I have already seen! ?

Patrick: I honestly want to work outside the Philippines in the future, most preferably in Canada or other European countries.

If you have a question you’d love to ask us, submit one here!
